Why are we giving away free cinematic LUTs?

It's super useful being given a sample pack. LUTs can be complicated to get your head around when you first use them, so we thought you would appreciate some free LUTs to try for your very own.

What is a LUT?

In simple terms, think of a LUT as a color preset/filter that is universally compatible in most editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, Filmora, Avid and much more. This can help give your footage a cinematic look, or even a natural look.

They're also compatible in many camera monitors to give you a live representation of what the LUT will look like in the editing suite.

Who are LUTs good for?

LUTs are very well known to help speed up the editing process, color correct Log color profiles or even applying to a camera monitor to live view a color grade.

Color grading or correcting can take a lot of time to learn or master. That's why people solely have careers being a professional Colorist, because it is an art that takes many years to master.

When you have tight deadlines, need to focus on other aspects or Filmmaking, or want to do color grading on your camera monitor rather than seeing Log, then LUTs are for you.
